According to the Saskatchewan Ministry of Health, Regina and surrounding rural area currently hold 25 designated palliative and hospice beds combined. That is a total of 25 beds for a population of approximately 260,000. Baby boomers at 60 yrs+ accounting for 46,000 of this total.
What options will these numbers leave the community for End of Life Care and specialized placement?
To provide alternative and compassionate options for supporting families during one of life's most vulnerable moments. We hope to lead the way in changing how End of Life care is offered in Saskatchewan.
Unlike current providers, we offer deserved and undivided attention. Our care is intentional, consistent and will always have a personal approach.
Whether service is provided in hospital, a personal residence, or a Long Term Care Facility, it is our priority to have individuals and families feel safe, heard, and that their/person's life matters.
Our philosopy of care is based on 5 fundamental pillars:
Holistic Care
Peace of Mind
Being Present
Family
Collaboration

This service is available to anyone over the age of 18, and highly encouraged for anyone over the age of 65. Advance Care Planning helps an individual describe their wishes at the End of life, if you are unable to do so.
We are here to help you organize and document said wishes. Our approach to advanced care planning consists of 3 components; The Practical, Medical and Emotional/Holistic preplanning.
Having a plan in place provides a sense of relief that your wishes will be heard, and gives confidence to your loved ones during emergent situations.
